FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 12, 2018
Hannah Grisham, one of the four finalists selected from a nationwide search for the 2018 Mazda Road to 24 Shootout, met at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park (Bondurant Facility) in Chandler, Arizona, on December 6-7 for an intensive selection process. The competition, for a scholarship to compete in the 2019 Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup, was ultimately awarded to Michael Carter from Savannah, Georgia, but only after all finalists showed great performances on and off the track, and after a lot of deliberation by the judges.
Hannah would like to thank Mazda, including the great organizers, team and judges they brought together for the shootout. Hannah also would like to congratulate, from left to right, Matthew Dirks, Loni Unser and Michael Carter for such a strong competition: "I had a blast, they were all so much fun." Again, many thanks to Mazda, including Mazda Director of Motorsports Mr. John Doonan, also pictured.
Hannah is now finishing up her first semester as a business major at San Diego State University. She is looking forward to getting her Mothers, Robert Davis Racing, Morning Star Racing, Global Electronic Technology, RLV, Racepak, Winners Circle Sports Marketing Mazda Miata back on track in February! Please follow Hannah, and wish her luck as she prepares for her 2019 season!
