SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., September 10, 2009. The Robert Davis Racing (RDR) team returns to the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah this week.

Robert Davis Racing will be running five Mazda RX-8's in three separate classes to finish the 2010 season. Robert Davis is returning to defend his 2009 Championship, while competing against teammate Lee Papageorge in the PTD class. Pay close attention to the PTC class, where teammates Dennis Holloway and Scott Shelton will contend to take pole position and then look for that top spot on the podium. Jim Holloway (2009 PTB Champion), will be looking to repeat as PTB Champion, as well as "Super Sizing" to compete against Vettes and Vipers in the ST2 class. To run with the monsters in ST2, Jim's RX-8 will be upped to 315HP and sport Hoosier slicks; this should be a fun race.

While the drivers work their way around the track at Miller Motorsports Park, a strong crew stands at pit lane ready to turn wrenches. John Encheff, Randy Miller, Mike Allen, Mo Aydt, Shawn Felix, Kyle Harrell, Jeff Jepson, Gary Turnau, Mark Stenzel, Eric Foss and Michael Garant will do what it takes to keep their team on the track and competitive.

The RDR Team will be in Utah from September 14th through the 19th. The team will run in-car cameras during practice, qualifying sessions and the final races. To follow the action, visit throughout the week.

Practice and Race Schedule:

About RDR: RDR has been a dominant force on the west coast in SCCA Club Racing, winning 11 divisional and 4 national titles for the last seven years. While the team still supports the SCCA, NASA has given it the opportunity to race in different classes, eliminating much of the inter- team competition. The team's 2010 goal is to capture three NASA National titles at Miller Motorsports Park in 2010, up from two in 2009.

RDR appreciates the support of Mother's Polishes and Waxes, SAFERACER, Hoosier Racing Tires, MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development, Motul, AIM Sports, Racing Hart, Nippon Paint, Racing Beat, Speed Source, Hawk Brakes, AWR, Classy Car Auto Detailing, Sparco, Pure Power, Star Shield Armor, Petrol Eyewear, and EMI.
